Around 500 local residents attended a public consultation exercise, over the new plans to re-generate Irvine town centre.
The UK’s most endangered mammal, the water vole, has had a population decrease of over 97% in the last 20 years, and is currently on the verge of extinction. The Ayrshire River Trust are at the fore front of pioneering work in protecting, preserving and re-introducing the water rodent, and are currently running projects at the Slaphouse Burn in Ayr, and Darley Burn in Troon
A farm in Ayrshire has been named as the venue for Scotland’s National Sheep Event 2012
