Residents and tenants of Newton Green in Ayr are stepping up their campaign against a scrap yard located just 60 yards from their homes. The EMR Scrap Yard, have been on the site for 20 years, however as the plant has grown and become busier, residents have been voicing their concerns over the amount of noise, dust and chemical pollution which has been plaguing their daily lives. The angry residents want the yard to be moved to a non-residential area at the opposite side of the river
