Kite Surfers gear up for Championships

Britain’s top professional kitesurfers flock to the Scottish seaside to compete in the penultimate round of the British Kitesurfing Association (BKSA) championships.
South Ayrshire Council hosted the Ayr Kiteival, a three-day kite sports festival, from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th September 2011 at the town’s Low Green.
Propelled by powerful kites, national champions could be crowned in four different disciplines. On the water kitesurfers will compete in freestyle and course racing competitions, while Low Green is the venue for freestyle kite landboard and kite buggy events.
