Councilor Peter Convery - Troon insulation scheme
South Ayrshire Council has received £450,000 from the Scottish Government to help insulate homes in Troon. The work, which is co-ordinated by the energy agency, offers local residents free home insulation and a range of energy efficiency advice and is not means or status tested. The scheme will be open until the end of March 2012, so householders are urged to act now before the offer runs out. We spoke to Councillor Peter Convery, portfolio holder for sustainability and environment, about the scheme.
